1. Information We Collect
Serelia collects minimal personal information:
- Anonymous Account ID: When you first open the app, we assign a random, anonymous identifier. No email, phone number, or personal identity is required to use Serelia.
- Photos You Choose: Only photos you explicitly select are processed. We never access your camera roll automatically. With your permission, we may access your device camera to take a photo or select one from your library.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data about how you use the app, such as which guides you view and general interaction patterns. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.
2. How Your Photos Are Used
When you choose a photo to create a personalized makeup guide, the photo is processed to generate step-by-step visual references for your guide. Here's what you should know:
- Photos are processed securely and used solely to create your personalized guide.
- We do not create, store, or transmit any facial recognition templates, biometric data, or face maps.
- Face detection is used momentarily only to locate the face area within the photo — it confirms "a face is present" and does not identify who the face belongs to.
3. Photo Storage
- Your guide results and associated images are stored securely on our cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Photos are linked to your anonymous account ID — not to any personal identity.
- You can delete your saved guides and associated images at any time within the app.
4. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not build facial recognition profiles.
- We do not identify or verify individual identities.
- We do not share your photos with third parties for advertising purposes.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not track your location.
5. In-App Purchases
Serelia offers optional in-app purchases for credits used to create personalized guides. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only a transaction confirmation — we never see or store your full payment card details.
6. Analytics
We may use anonymous, aggregated analytics to understand general app usage patterns and improve your experience. This includes crash reports and session counts. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.
7. Third-Party Services
- Apple App Store: Handles in-app purchase payments.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Provides secure storage for your guide data and app configuration.
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy.
8. Data Retention
- Your saved guides remain stored as long as your account exists.
- You can delete any guide or image at any time within the app.
- If you delete your account, your anonymous data will be removed in accordance with our retention schedule.
9. Children's Privacy
Serelia is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
10. Your Rights
- You may delete any saved guide at any time within the app.
- You may request deletion of all your data by contacting us.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of Serelia after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
